Carbon accounting

Draw up a carbon footprint for your business

Want to know your company's carbon footprint?

With the "Carbon Accounting" app, draw up a carbon balance of your CO2 emissions and measure your impact so you can reduce it more effectively.

If your company is committed to respecting the environment, and you want to communicate this information to your customers, this app displays the carbon content of the goods and services you sell on your commercial documents.

This app allows you to identify and quantify the carbon produced by each item sold, and to obtain a balance sheet.

A tool to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions between companies, visualize your indicators so you can improve them, and also legitimize and lend credibility to your discourse and actions in the field of energy transition.

Carbon accounting is a tool for controlling and combating global warming. It measures a company's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It is based on an inventory of the quantities of GHG emitted, and classifies these emissions by category and source.

As part of this approach, the app lets you enter the carbon footprint of each item, and produce a carbon balance of inputs and outputs.

1. Enter the CO2 emission weight on your products

Activating the app adds a new field on product sheets for entering the carbon footprint generated by the production and sale of the product.

Go to each product sheet to complete this information, or integrate this information en masse via import or API. This information can also be exported via the export of catalog products.

2. Find this information on your quotes, invoices, etc.

When calling up an item in a quote, invoice or other sales document, if this product or service is documented in terms of carbon impact, then the application will display :

  • On each product, line by line, the grammage indicated on the product sheet.
  • In the document total, the sum of carbon

If you duplicate or transform a document, this information will follow and be taken into account in the next document.

If you carry out stock movements, this information will be attached to the movements.

3. Enter the CO2 emissions of your employees

Employees have a monthly CO2 footprint linked to their work at the company: transport to work, workstation electricity consumption, etc. Enter these footprints in the personnel register. Enter these footprints in the personnel register and each month they will be deducted from salaries, in proportion to the employee's presence in the company during the month concerned.

4. Track your carbon footprint

Activating the app adds a new menu to the "Dashboard" tab: Bilan Carbone. The "Bilan Carbone" dashboard lets you select a year, to obtain the total carbon emissions resulting from your quotes, invoices, purchases, inventory movements, etc.

Caution: choose to track the balance sheet on documents or on stock movements, but not both at the same time, otherwise you'll be counting items twice.

5. Establish indicators

Carbon quantities are also available in the Analytics functions, enabling you to establish your own customized statistics (tracking by customer, activity or project, etc.); And also in the Dashboard functions, enabling you to establish customized indicators, to be shared internally or externally!

6. Set app operation

To personalize your carbon footprint and configure your use of this information, go to the app's "Settings" tab.

Via Settings, choose :

  • Options for displaying grammage on commercial documents: Which documents? Where: total or on lines
  • The commercial documents to be taken into account for your carbon footprint: for example, you can select Purchase Invoices for the "input" part, and "Sales Invoices" or "Delivery Notes" for the "output" part.
  • Entries also include monthly entries for your employees, if you wish.
