As part of your sales operations, you sell packs and bundles, and you'd like to create the corresponding composite items for your quotations and invoices?
With the"compound products" app, create your own compound items and add them to your sales documents.
Keep track of your sales and margins on compound items and special offers!
Activating the app, adds a new field to your product sheets, called"Composite Products", with a"yes" checkbox, which will then allow you to attach the item's components.
To create compound products :
- Start by entering the list of components in your product catalog, noting their purchase price. Add as many items as there are components. Components must be present in the catalog as existing products, before they can be included in the composition of a new item.
- Then add your finished product or sales package and attach its components.
To do this, click on the "More details" link on your product sheet. The product sheet form expands to offer more options for setting up your product, particularly in the "Purchase and product composition" area, where you can indicate whether the product is made up of by-products.
By ticking "yes" in the "compound product" field, once the product form has been validated, a new "Product composition" block appears, enabling you to compose your product and add its by-products.
To compose the product, in the"Product composition" block:
- Call up product components by entering their names.
- Define the number of parts needed in the composition
- Specify desired margin level.
- Confirm
Repeat this operation to add as many components as required.
Each time a line is added, you'll see the impact on the margin of the finished product, as well as the recommended price.
