Quote versioning

Revise your quotes without losing the history! 

With the "Quote versioning" app, easily create a new version of an existing quote while keeping the link to previous versions.

You track the evolution of your sales proposals, keep a clear record of changes and avoid skewing your statistics by rejecting superseded quotes.

To create a new quote version, install the "Quote versioning" app from the incwo App Store. Once installed, go to your quotes to manage versions.

1. Créer une nouvelle version d'un devis 

From an existing quote in any status other than draft, click "New version" in the quote's top banner. The software will automatically:

• Duplicate the quote
• Create a new quote in "Draft" status
• Set the original quote to "Revised" status
• Link the two documents together (breadcrumb + transformation block)

A noter que ?il n’est pas possible de créer une nouvelle version depuis un devis en statut “En rédaction”.
Seuls les devis dont le statut est :  prêt à envoyer, envoyé, ajourné, refusé ou accepté, peuvent faire l'objet d'une révision.

2. Suivre les versions

Each version is linked to the others:

• In the breadcrumb: see the chain of revisions
• In the "Transformation" block at the bottom of the quote: access the linked documents

Vous pouvez ainsi suivre facilement l’évolution d’un devis dans le temps.

3. Modifier une version

The new version, while in draft, can be freely edited. Once ready, you can:

• Send it to the customer
• Revise it again by creating a new version of the quote

Chaque version à son propre numéro et sa propre date de pièces pour être différenciée.

4. Gérer les statuts des versions

The original quote automatically switches to "Revised" as soon as a new version is produced. Statuses can still be changed manually, so it is up to you to:

• Define which version is accepted
• Set the other versions to "completed" or "postponed", depending on the sales situation.
