Are you mass-processing products and packages?
With the "Quick entry of products and packages" app, quickly add your items and quantities, and get automatic calculation of the number of packages and pallets to be delivered!
Activating the app allows you to :
- Quickly add a list of 20 items from the product catalog, associating quantities and packaging units, for inclusion in a quotation or invoice.
- View the number of packages and pallets entered for each item
- Automate packing calculations
This app is linked to the "Packaging" app and requires a setting in this "Packaging" app: Define packaging on products must be "yes" for this app.
This function then adds a new"packaging" field to product data sheets to define :
- Number of products per box
- Number of cartons per pallet
1. Quick entry of 20 part numbers and packing
Installing the app adds a "Quick entry with packing" link to sales documents, so you can simultaneously add a list of items to your quotation, along with the associated packing.
When you click on the "Quick entry with packing" link, a window appears in which you can enter :
- Article reference
- Quantity of items sold
- Number of packages
- Number of pallets
When the quick entry table is validated, the product lines are added to the sales document, along with description and price information.
For commercial documents :
- On sale: The default price is the public unit price. If there are negotiated customer tariffs, the interface brings up the customer tariff corresponding to the third party linked to the sales document.
- On purchase: The supplier's purchase price is taken into account. If there is no supplier price for an item, then the interface will take the product's cost price.
Please note that to use this input mode, the product reference must be present as a catalog product reference and be unique so that it can be searched and identified. This interface does not allow you to create new products, i.e. those not listed in the catalog.
2. Automatic packing calculation
If the number of products per carton and the number of cartons per pallet are defined on the product sheet, the application will automatically calculate the number of cartons and pallets required, based on the quantities.
This information does not need to be entered in the quick-entry window and will be added automatically upon validation.
The rule applied to define the number of packages, according to quantities, is to take the higher packaging volume.
Example:
Quantity = 10 products
If the packaging for this item is one carton for 6 products, then the application displays 2 cartons.
